Miami Secures Victory Over Oakland
HAMILTON, Ohio – Miami University women's tennis claimed a 4-3 victory over Oakland University this Sunday morning. Miami secured the doubles point at the start and split singles play to earn the win. Complete results can be found below.

For the weekend, Maria Komar and Nina Chavez were a perfect 2-0 at No. 2 doubles, highlighted by a crucial win in doubles on Sunday. Malu Oliveria continued her hot start to the spring season, with a pair of three-set wins at No. 1 singles, including the match-deciding win on Sunday versus Oakland.

Western Michigan Splits Road Matches at Cincinnati, Dayton | Box Score
DAYTON, Ohio -- The Western Michigan women's tennis team split road matches at Cincinnati and Dayton on Saturday and Sunday, falling to the Bearcats, 5-2, and rebounding to down the Flyers, 6-1. 

In the loss at Cincinnati, senior Audrey Smitek and sophomore Marielou Baudouin picked up WMU's points. Smitek earned a 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 win at No. 3 over Ana Arsic. Baudouin won 5-7, 6-3, 1-0 (11-9) at No. 5 over Tara Kurepa. 

The Broncos rolled to victory at Dayton on Sunday. WMU took the doubles point with Lola Glantz and Frida Weijerman taking the early advantage with a 6-1 win at No. 1 over Natalie Osiecki and Montserrat Sierra. Smitek and Polina Khotko then took the doubles point with a 6-3 win at No. 3 over Haley Klein and Grace Murphy. 

Weijerman made it 2-0 with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Baby Jordan at No. 2. before Sienna Osborne pushed the lead to 3-0 with a 6-3, 6-0 victory at No. 4 over Kristen Chin. Smitek tallied the match-winning point with a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 3 over Sierra. The fifth and final pint came from Julia Frazier with a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 6 over Klein.

The Broncos are back in action on Saturday at 12 p.m., hosting Oakland at West Hills Athletic Club. Admission is free. 


Northern Illinois Defeats Milwaukee, Judson | Match 1 Box Score | Match 2 Box Score 
DeKALB, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University women's tennis team capped a 4-0 weekend with a pair of wins over Milwaukee and Judson on Sunday. The Huskies defeated Milwaukee 6-1 and rolled past Judson 7-0.

NIU won the doubles point following a 6-2 clinch at No. 3 from Isabella Righi / Lucia Yecora. Righi and Yecora went 3-0 on the weekend in doubles.

Irmak Budak and Nataly Ninova opened up singles play with wins at No. 1 and No. 4. Yecora (Seville, Spain/IES V Centenario School) clinched the match with a three-set match over Emilia Durska, winning 6-3, 3-6, 6-1.

Jenna Horne and Rebeca Garcia Miralles recorded the final two wins for the Huskies.

The Huskies swept Judson to close out the weekend. Budak, Garcia Miralles and Ninova all went 4-0 in singles on the weekend.

Righi and Malika Kabdesh also picked up wins in the match against Judson at No. 4 and No. 5.
 

Massachusetts Downs Le Moyne | Box Score
DEWITT, N.Y. – University of Massachusetts tennis took down Le Moyne College, 4-0, at Elevate Fitness on Sunday evening.

With wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles, the Minutewomen notched the point. The duo of Ella Faessler and Renata Farima defeated Ella Fernando and Lilia Raiss of Le Moyne, 6-1, at court No. 1, before partners Madara Markevica and Martina Pavissich won 6-0 over Le Moyne's Paula Casares and Emma Sanchez Jimenez at the No. 3 slot.

Massachusetts continued its momentum into singles competition. Amelia Tye downed Sanchez Jimenez of Le Moyne, 6-1, 6-1, at the No. 1 position, while Pavissich came out on top with a 6-0, 6-2 triumph over Le Moyne's Fernando at court No. 2. Markevica clinched the match point at the No. 3 spot for UMass with a 6-2, 6-1, victory over Stella Simeonova of Le Moyne.

Fiona Ao was up 3-1 over Le Moyne's Casares at No. 4 singles before the match came to a halt.

The Minutewomen travel to Boston, Massachusetts, on Saturday, February 14, for a 2 p.m. match at Boston University. UMass then returns home to take on Hofstra on Sunday, February 15, at 3 p.m.
