NIU opened Friday by dropping the doubles point to North Dakota, but stormed back in singles and won all six matches. Sophomore Lucia Yecora continued her winning ways, posting a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 3.

Two Huskies pulled out three-set victories in sophomore Theodora Kousiou and senior Nataly Ninova. Kousiou defeated Jule Schulte of North Daokta 6-1, 6-7 (2-7), 6-1. Ninova dropped the first set 4-6, but rallied 6-1, 6-3 to secure the victory.

Freshman Rebeca Garcia Miralles recorded her first singles win of the dual season, winning 7-6 (7-5), 6-4.
