Buffalo Sweeps Spring Season Opener Over Le Moyne | Box Score
BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team opened the spring season with a dominant 7-0 win over Le Moyne on Friday afternoon at Miller Tennis Center.
The Bulls got off to a good start, sweeping doubles as
Esmee Andresen and
Maria Glowacka cruised to a 6-1 win at first doubles,
Sarah Hartel and
Julia Laspro won 6-2 at third singles and
Liv Roestel and
Blanca Berges earned a hard-fought 7-5 win at second doubles.
UB continued its strong play in singles action as Sofia Zagummenova cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at sixth singles, and Berges rolled to a 6-1, 6-1 win at the fifth position.
Julia Laspro won 6-0, 6-3 at third singles, Hartel picked up a 6-0, 6-2 victory at the fourth position, Glowacka earned a decisive 6-1, 6-2 win at second singles, and Andresen rounded out the scoring with a 7-5, 6-1 victory at first singles.
Buffalo is back in action on Saturday as they take on Duquesne in a doubleheader with the men's tennis team at Miller Tennis Center at 1:30 pm.
Bowling Green remains Undefeated After Dominant Victoryover Dayton
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University (BGSU) tennis team advances to 3-0 after defeating the Dayton Flyers in a 7-0 sweep.
Every Falcon won every game during the match for Bowling Green.

SINGLES
- Tia Clemons swept her opponent 2-0 after taking the first match 6-4 and then dominating the second match 6-0.
- Keira Taylor swept her opponent 6-3, then 6-1 in her outing.
- Qianya Liu recorded a point for the Falcons, sweeping her opponent 6-2 and 6-1.
- Libby Blair swept her opponent 2-0. Taking both matches 6-2.
- Konstantina Adamopouloum kept the sweeps going, winning both matches 6-4.
- Lucia Gaio was strong in her performance, scoring 6-4 in both games to record a sweep.
- The Orange and Brown did not lose a single game in the match against Dayton.
The Falcons have a quick turnaround as they head to Marshall University for a match against The Herd on Sunday, Feb 1. The match starts at 10:00 AM.
Northern Illinois Beats Butler | Box Score
DeKalb, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University women's tennis team defeated Butler, 5-2, at home on Friday evening. Huskies have now pushed their winning streak to five matches.
In doubles, Isabella Righi / Lucia Yecora continued to push positive results for NIU, winning on court two 6-3. Minutes later, Theodora Kousiou / Jenna Horne gave the early nod to the Huskies with a 6-4 win over Lauren Cook / Jordan Schildcrout of Butler.
Yecora improved to 5-1 in singles with a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 3. Nataly Ninova recorded a 6-4, 6-1 victory to set up Irmak Budak for the clinching point.
Budak outlasted Butler's Chase Metcalf 7-6 (11-9) in the first set and cruised to a 6-2 win in the second to seal the victory.
NIU will host Minnesota at 6 p.m. tomorrow. Saturday's match against the Gophers will be the fourth Power Five conference team the Huskies have faced this month.
