Bulls Defeat Defending Horizon League Champion Youngstown State | Box Score
BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team (10-1) made a statement, sweeping the defending Horizon League champion Youngstown State 7-0 on Friday afternoon at Miller Tennis Center.
The Bulls took the doubles point as
Sarah Hartel and
Julia Laspro cruised to a 6-2 win at third singles and
Blanca Berges and
Liv Roestel clinched the point with a hard-fought 7-5 victory at the second position to give UB a 1-0 lead in the match.
Roestel continued her strong play, winning 6-3, 6-0 at fifth singles,
Esmee Andresen cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 victory at first singles and Laspro clinched the match for UB with a 6-2, 6-1 win at third singles. Berges rolled to a 6-1, 6-2 win at six singles,
Maria Glowacka defeated her opponent 6-2, 6-3 at second singles and Hartel rounded out the scoring for UB with a 6-4, 6-2 win at fourth singles.
Buffalo returns to action tomorrow against IUP at 1:30 pm.
Flacons Earn Strong Win Over Mercyhurst
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University (BGSU) Falcons took a 7-0 victory over Mercyhurst to improve to 5-1 on the season.
DOUBLES
- The Falcons took the first point of the match, earning a victory in all three courts to begin the contest.
- Libby Blair and Kiera Taylor earned a 6-3 win on Court #1.
- Court #2 was shared by the team of Konstantina Adamopoulou and Lucia Gaio where they earned a 6-3 victory.
- The team of Qianyu Liu and Leticia Fonesca were the first team off the court, taking a 6-0 match win.
SINGLES
- Every singles competitor won their match against Mercyhurst.
- Leticia Fonseca was first off the courts taking a strong 6-0 and 6-0 victories to earn a point for the Falcons.
- Qianyu Liu finished her match earning a point for the Falcons, taking two 6-0 sets.
- Tia Clemens followed with a quick 6-2 and 6-2 victory to claim a third point for the Falcons.
- Libby Blair added a point for the Falcons, winning 6-3 and 6-2 in her match.
- Konstantina Adamopoulou won a point for the Falcons earning a 6-3 and 6-2 win.
- Lucia Gaio won the sixth point for the Falcons taking two 6-0 sets over her opponent.

Tolstova Guides Eagles to 4-3 Win At DuPaul | Box Score

Sabrina Tolstova battled back from a first-set loss to claim a three-set victory at No. 2 singles after helping clinch the doubles point earlier to help the Eastern Michigan University tennis team to a 4-3 road win at DePaul University, Friday, Feb. 13, inside the XS Tennis Center in Chicago, Ill. The Eagles (7-3) snapped a three-match slide to jump back into the win column following their defeat of the Blue Demons (5-4).
"[It was] such a great win," Head Coach
Ryan Kucera said following the match. "We had to really dig deep and fight together and we did. It is such a beautiful thing to watch us when we are connected and playing with conviction. We needed everyone and everyone showed up. DePaul is a fantastic team and they never went away. Today was a true team win and our level keeps going up. I couldn't be prouder of this group, and I am excited to watch them competing together!"
NOTING THE TEAM
» With the win, the Eagles snapped a three-match losing streak and moved to 7-3 on the year while the Blue Demons fell to 5-4.
» Eastern snapped a three-match skid in its series with DePaul and regained the overall lead at 4-3. The Eagles also leveled their record when playing at DePaul as they stand 2-2 all-time on the Blue Demons' home courts.
» The Eagles captured the doubles point for the seventh time this year and are 7-0 when winning the point. The win at No. 2 doubles by the team of
Matilde Parreira and
Sabrina Tolstova marked the third time they have clinched the doubles point this season.
» The win at No. 2 singles for
Sabrina Tolstova marked her first victory in the position in three matches and also marked the first time she has secured the winning point for the team this season. She is the fifth different Eagle to secure the team-victory-clinching point in 2026 and the third freshman to accomplish the feat.
» The win marked the 31st for
Ryan Kucera as the head coach of the Eagles, which tied him for the sixth-highest total in program history with Allison Tookes, who captured 31 wins in her four seasons (1991-95) in Ypsilanti.

Rockets Roll to Win Over Cleveland State | Box Score
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Toledo women's tennis team earned wins on five out of six singles courts to roll to a 6-1 victory over Cleveland State on Friday afternoon in Cleveland, Ohio.
The Rockets (4-2) started off the match with a doubles victory after picking up wins on the No. 1 and 2 courts.
In singles play, UT tallied straight-set wins on all five courts. Sophomore
Annika Munson won her five-straight singles victory while freshman
Iva Jankovic earned her first collegiate singles win with a 6-2, 6-1 decision on the No. 6 court.
Freshman
Anastasia Akuginova tallied her fourth singles win on the No. 5 court while
JJ Scholten and
Neha Guru each won their second-straight singles matches on the No. 1 and No. 3 courts, respectively.
