CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced its 2021-22 Men’s and Women's Swimming and Diving Academic All-MAC team on Wednesday.
A total of 52 student-athletes were named to this year’s men's team and 132 were named to the women's team. Southern Illinois led the men's team with 14 athletes being named to the squad, while Akron lead the women with 24 team members honored.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
