Daniel Santos Lopez was undefeated in both individual events and relays on Saturday to help UE to a 156-106 victory at Bellarmine. His first individual victory was in the 100 back, when he won by over a full second with a time of 52.03. He then cruised to a win in the 50 free with a winning time of 21.75. He also swam the lead leg of both the 400 Medley Relay and 200 Free Relay events.

MAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Paulina Nogaj, Akron
Senior, Radom, Poland (Polish Swimming Federation)
University of Akron swimming and diving senior Paulina Nogaj (Radom, Poland) led the Zips to a 241-101 win over Ohio on Senior Night by winning three events. She posted the Zips second win of the meet, flying to a 54.71 time in the 100-yard backstroke and winning the race by 1.09 seconds. Her second race of the evening saw her win by 4.12 seconds, stopping the timer at 53.54 in the 100-yard butterfly. Nogaj finished the meet with a win in the 100-yard freestyle with a 50.54.

Victoria Franz had a dominant weekend at the UB Diving Invite as she won both the 1 and 3-meter dives with 22 competitors. Friday afternoon she cruised to a first-place finish in the 1-meter dive with a prelim score of 305.55. She then improved her score to 314.10 in the finals winning the event by nearly 45 points. On Saturday afternoon she scored 325.40 points in the 3-meter prelims and went on to score 340.55 in the finals, winning by over 60 points.
