Junior Bence Bertenyi won the Inverness Intercollegiate title on Tuesday by shooting a three-under par 210. Bertenyi captured his first collegiate title against a loaded field that included five teams ranked in the Top 10 of the Bushnell/Golfweek Division I Preseason Coaches Poll and several of the top amateurs in the world. Bertenyi’s play helped Toledo to a second-place tie in the event, marking its best finish ever in the tournament's history, which began in 2000.
Bertenyi shot a 1-under 70 on Sunday, an even-par 71 on Monday, and a 2-under 69 in the final round. He was the only individual to not shoot over par during the tournament and registered 10 birdies and just seven bogeys over 54 holes.
Bertenyi registered a nearly-flawless final round with just one bogey. He followed up his lone miscue on No. 10 with birdies on Nos. 11, 13 and 16 to capture the win. Texas Tech's Ben Gregg had a chance to capture a share of the individual title but registered pars on his final four holes.

Central Michigan senior Philippe Yturralde closed with an even-par 71 to finish at even-par 213 and tie for 27th in a 92-player field at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational at Guyan Golf & Country Club in Huntington, W. Va. Yturralde opened the tournament with a 2-under 69 and then posted a 2-over 73 in the second round. Yturralde began the final round tied for 35th and overcame a bumpy start -- he was 3-over through seven holes – to climb eight spots to his 27th-place finish, making three birdies over his final 11 holes to get back to par.
Christoffer Leuenhagen, Kent State, Sophomore, Esbjerg, Denmark
Event: Canadian Collegiate Invitational
Individual: T-13th | Team: T-12th
Score: 75-71-71=217
Christoffer Leuenhagen led the Golden Flashes with a +4 final score in the Canadian Collegiate invitational. While most people in the tournament by far had their least productive round in round three due to heavy rain and wind, Leuenhagen tied his best round with an even par performance. As an individual, Leuenhagen had nine birdies in the event and just a single double bogey.

Individual: T8 | Team: T6
Score: 71-63-75=209
Jack Callahan finished top-ten as a freshman, shooting four-under-par and making twelve birdies throughout the tournament. His second round featured zero bogeys, and Callahan helped Miami finish sixth as a team.

Sophomore Rylan Hall helped lead the Ohio men's golf team this past week at the RedHawk Intercollegiate in Pittsburgh, Pa. In their season opener, Hall finished tied for 40th, shooting five over par for the week that included a second round 68, which was tied for ninth among all golfers in the second round. That 68 featured an eagle, one of 21 combined eagles across all teams during the week.
