Singles Player of the Week
Ella Faessler, Senior, Massachusetts
As the Minutewomen picked up a 6-1 victory over Buffalo, Ella Faessler set the tone for singles action for UMass. Faessler took down her opponent at court No. 1, 6-2, 6-1, to secure the first singles point of the day and was the first off the courts. The win at No. 1 singles improved Faessler to a 7-1 record in MAC play and 13-4 overall in the position.

Ella Faessler and Renata Farima clinched the doubles point for UMass to aid in the 6-1 victory over Buffalo on Sunday. In a close, 7-6 match, the duo was able to win the tiebreak 10-3 over their opponents.

Allie Faulkner and Maria Luisa Oliveira earned two strong wins at No. 1 doubles this week, defeating Marshall 6–4 and Ball State 6–4. The duo continues to establish themselves as a tough, consistent team at the top position in the MAC.
