Miami Earns Another Strong Win at Home
OXFORD, Ohio – Miami University women's tennis captured a win over Eastern Michigan on Sunday afternoon with a 6-1 final score. The RedHawks secured the doubles point early and carried that momentum through singles play to finish the match.
In singles, Miami won five matches to seal the team victory.
Maria Luisa Oliveira battled through a three-set match, winning 6-3, 5-7, 6-4.
Allie Faulkner delivered a strong performance with a 6-4, 6-2 win.
Evelyn Risner responded after dropping the first set to win 3-6, 6-0, 6-4.
Nina Chavez Vicente added a straight-sets victory, 6-4, 6-0.
Maria Komar closed out the scoring for Miami with a 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 win.

Huskies Dive Back in WIn Column; Ninova Becomes All-Time WIns Leader | Box Score
DeKALB, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University women's tennis team snapped its losing skid on Sunday with a 5-2 win over Bowling Green at home. Senior
Nataly Ninova recorded a singles and doubles win to become the program's all-time combined career wins leader with 165 and counting.
Head coach
Eric Burns praised Ninova following the match, pointing to the senior's ability to play against all levels of competition.
The win on Sunday snaps a five-match losing streak and marks the fourth consecutive win over Bowling Green. NIU (16-8, 2-5 MAC) now has won at least 10 home matches in each of the last three seasons.

Lucia Yecora won 6-2 at No. 2 doubles, allowing for
Theodora Kousiou / Ninova to clinch the point at No. 1 with a 6-3 win.
Ninova recorded the first singles win, downing Libby Blair 6-4, 6-0 and shortly after Yecora (Seville, Spain / IES V Centenario School) posted a 6-3, 6-2 win against Kiera Taylor.
Irmak Budak clinched the match with a 7-5, 1-6, 6-2 win over All-MAC select Tia Clemens at No. 1 singles, her second straight conference win.
Jenna Horne recorded a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 5 for the final point of the match for the Huskies.
NIU will host its Senior Day on Friday, April 17 at 12 p.m. against Ball State in the regular season finale.
Buffalo Clinches MAC Tournament Berth with Win Over Western Michigan on Senior Day | Box Score
BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team (19-5, 6-1 MAC) celebrated their senior class in style with a 4-3 win over Western Michigan on Sunday afternoon at Miller Tennis Center.
With the win, the Bulls have officially clinched a spot in the 2026 Mid-American Conference Tournament and currently sit in a tie for first place with one match remaining in the regular season.
The Bulls got off to a great start as
Sarah Hartel and
Julia Laspro won 6-4 at third doubles and
Esmee Andresen and
Maria Glowacka battled to a 7-5 victory at the first position to clinch the doubles point and put UB up 1-0.
Sophomore
Blanca Berges got an early point on the board in singles action with a 6-1, 7-5 win at six singles. After Broncos then evened the match at two with wins at second and fifth singles, Andresen responded with a 7-6, 6-3 win at the first position to put UB up 3-2 and Glowacka cliched the match for UB with a gutsy 6-2, 4-6, 7-6 victory at third singles.
Up next, Buffalo will close out the regular season at Massachusetts on Sunday, April 19 at 12pm.
Toledo Hands UMass First Conference Loss | Box Score
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's tennis team battled to a 5-2 win over the UMass Minutewomen (15-4, 6-1 MAC) to hand them their first Mid-American Conference defeat of the season on Sunday at the UT Varsity Tennis Courts.
The Rockets tallied wins on four of the six singles courts after earning the doubles point to take down the conference leaders. UT moved to 10-8 overall (5-2 MAC) with the win and into third place in the league standings.
Freshman
Isabella Barretto clinched match point with a straight-set win on the No. 1 singles court, 7-5, 7-6 (7-3).
JJ Scholten posted a 6-3, 6-2 win on the No. 2 court, while
Neha Guru picked up a three-set 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 win on the No. 4 court.
Gaby Rondon also earned a win on the No. 6 singles court with a 6-3, 6-1 decision.
In doubles play, Barretto and Guru combined for a 6-1 win on the No. 1 court, while Anatasia Akuginova and Rondon tallied a 6-4 win on the No. 2 court to win the point.
