COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – James Madison forward Madelief Molier was recognized as the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Offensive Player of the Week on Wednesday morning after turning in a four-goal weekend to help the Dukes improve to 6-3 (1-0 MAC) and earn a No. 18 ranking in the latest Penn Monto/NFHCA Poll.

This is the first major national honor for Molier and comes on the heels of being tabbed Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Molier's scoring surge was highlighted by a hat trick in a 3-1 win at No. 8 Michigan on Sunday. Her three-goal outing was the first multi-goal game of her career and marked the first hat trick by a Duke this season. Additionally, her performance against the Wolverines extended her scoring streak to three games, tied for the longest stretch in her career. Molier is tied for third in the conference in goals (7) and ranks 23rd nationally in goals per game (0.88).

The Rotterdam, Netherlands native joins Alice Roeper as the only current Dukes to be named NFHCA Offensive Player of the Week in their careers. Last season, Roeper earned the weekly honor on Oct. 2 after also recording a four-goal weekend, with game-winning goals against Central Michigan and Queens (N.C.).

Molier is one of two MAC players to be tabbed as national player of the week this season, with goalkeeper Myrte van Herwijnen of Massachusetts picking up NFHCA Defensive Player of the Week honors on Sept. 17.
