The Bobcats finish second in the conference and posted an overall batting average of .290. As a team the Bobcats recorded 63 doubles, 15 triples, 39 home runs and 243 RBI, while the Bobcat pitching staff posted a 3.10 team ERA. Over the course of the season, the Bobcats posted a 10-game winnings streak that included a 1-0 nine-inning victory over Ohio State.
On Wednesday, first year Ohio head coach Jenna Hall was named the Mid-American Conference Coach of the Year, while redshirt freshman Skipp Miller was named the MAC Freshman Pitcher of the Year. Six Bobcats also earned All-MAC Honors, with juniors Annalia Paoli, Yasmine Logan and Miller earning All-MAC First Team recognition, while junior Tori O'Brien and senior Alexis Dawe were named Second Team All-MAC. Miller and freshman Belle Hummel both earned a spot on the All-Freshman Team.
The Chippewas begin play in the MAC Tournament on Thursday against Ohio. CMU (28-24, 18-11 MAC) is the third seed and takes on the second-seeded Bobcats (30-21, 20-9 MAC) at 1 p.m. at Miami Softball Stadium in Oxford, Ohio.
CMU Pitcher Grace Lehto was named to the All-MAC First Team, while the Chippewas' Kelsey Alexander, Samantha Mills, Abbey Tolmie, and Michaleigh Vallimont each earned a spot on the second team.

Miami (34-18, 21-8 MAC) is set to square off against Ball State in the first round of the 2023 MAC Softball Championship.
On Wednesday morning six RedHawks received Mid-American Conference honors for their incredible seasons. Allie Cummins, Riley Coyne, Karli Spaid, Brianna Pratt and Jenna Golembiewski were named to the All-MAC First Team and Holly Blaska was named to the All-MAC Second Team. Pratt was also named MAC Pitcher of the Year, and Golembiewski was named MAC Player of the Year.
Ball State enters the MAC Softball Championship with a 27-24 overall record, including a 17-12 league mark. Entering the MAC Championship, senior shortstop Amaia Daniel leads the Ball State offense and ranks 42nd nationally with her .404 batting average, while senior infielder Haley Wynn is 60th nationally with her .396 average. In the circle, sophomore Angelina Russo leads the Ball State pitching staff with her 2.76 ERA and .219 batting average against over 116.2 innings of work.
Leading the way for the Cardinals were a pair of All-MAC First Team selections in redshirt sophomore catcher McKayla Timmons and senior third baseman Haley Wynn.
Ball State also placed three student-athletes on the All-MAC Second Team, with senior shortstop Amaia Daniel, redshirt freshman utility player McKenna Mulholland, and sophomore pitcher Angelina Russo all earning a nod. Mulholland, along with pitcher Bridie Murphy, were also selected to the MAC All-Freshman Team.
