MAC Softball Player of the Week
Rylee McDaniel, Graduate Student, Shortstop, Ohio

Ohio shortstop Rylee McDaniel helped lead the Ohio softball team to a 4-0 week this past week, defeating Sun Belt-leading Marshall at home, before sweeping Kent State on the road. Overall, McDaniel hit .667 with six hits in nine at bats. She recorded one double, one triple, three home runs, drew four walks and hit three home runs. She scored six runs and registered five RBI, while slugging 2.000 and recording an OPS of 2.769. She also resisted a .769 one base percentage, and in the field, recorded one error, six putouts and had 12 assists. McDaniel's week began on Wednesday against Marshall where she went 1-for-3 with a double in the 4-2 win. The Bobcats then went on the road to Kent State, where in the first game of Friday's doubleheader, McDaniel went 1-for-2 with a home run, two runs scored, two RBI and drew ne walk in the 13-5 five-inning win. She was back in action in game two where she had a home run, drew two walks, scored two runs, and recorded one RBI in the 10-1 five-inning win. McDaniel wrapped up the weekend on Saturday, going 3-for-3 with a triple, home run, walk, two RBI and two runs scored in the 9-6 win.
MAC Softball Pitcher of the Week
Madie Jamrog, Junior, RHP, Akron
Holland, Mich. (Hamilton HS)
Akron went 3-2 on the week, splitting a non-conference doubleheader with Robert Morris and defeating UMass 2-1 to remain at the top of the MAC standings. Starting pitcher Madie Jamrog earned all three wins with one complete game performance, posting a 2.13 earned run average. Jamrog threw 23.0 innings and limited opponents to hitting a .241 batting average. She allowed 7 earned runs on 21 hits with 15 strikeouts and only 5 walks. She threw a five hit shutout to secure the win and the series against UMass.
