CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced its 2020 Men's and Women's Cross Country Academic All-MAC teams Thursday. A total of 42 student-athletes were named to the men's team while 71 student-athletes were named to the women's team.
Miami led the men's team in 2020 with a total of nine honorees, followed closely by Eastern Michigan (7), Ohio (6), and Toledo (6).
On the women’s side, Bowling Green tabbed nine student-athletes on this year’s squad. The Ohio Bobcats and Toledo Rockets followed with eight student-athletes apiece, while Central Michigan received seven nods.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
