Bowling Green, Ohio. -- The Northern Illinois Huskies captured their first ever Mid-American Conference Championship on Saturday. NIU finished the day tallying a total of 84 points, with Toledo following behind with 87 points.
Bowling Green Redshirt-Freshman Kailee Perry took home the individual title for the Falcons, crossing the finish line with an official time of 20:41.0.
2019 Champion Ashley Tutt finished the race in second place with a time of 20:52.7, right in front of teammate Mackenzie Callahan who timed out at 21:04.3.
Following the conclusion of the race, Northern Illinois Head Coach Adrian Myers was named MAC Coach of the Year. This was the first time Myers has recieved the honor.
The NCAA Cross Country Championships will take place in Stillwater, Oklahoma on March, 15th 2021.
