#10 Northern Illinois Huskies
DeKALB, Ill. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association released its final Division I Regional rankings and the Northern Illinois University women's tennis team finished No. 10 in the Midwest. The Huskies wrapped up the spring season with a 17-9 record and qualified for the NIT for the second consecutive year.
"I'm proud of the team and season we had," said head coach
Eric Burns. "We played a tough schedule and had a great overall body of work with some really big wins. The ITA Midwest Region is a tough region with some of the best teams in the nation and a lot of parity. It's a great accomplishment to finish in the top 10."
NIU finished last season ranked at No. 9 in the Midwest Region, giving the Huskies back-to-back seasons finishing in the top 10 of the Midwest Region. The Midwest Region produced five NCAA Tournament teams this season, seven teams ranked in the top 75 of the latest ITA rankings and four teams ranked in the top 40. Ohio State finished No. 1 in the region and made the national semifinals while No. 2 Michigan reached the third round of the tournament.
The Huskies played three teams that finished in the top 10 of the region this season in No. 3 Wisconsin (No. 30 National), No. 6 Northwestern (No. 60 National) and No. 9 Toledo.
NIU is on a historic run as a program, earning back-to-back postseason bids, notching 15+ wins in three consecutive seasons for the first time ever, defeated its first Power Conference team since at least 2005 and had multiple players earn all-conference honors in consecutive seasons for the second time since 2000.

#10 Buffalo Bulls
BUFFALO, NY – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association released its final Division I Regional rankings, and the University at Buffalo women's tennis team finished 10
th in the New England region.
Buffalo joins Toledo (Midwest), Northern Illinois (Midwest), and Massachusetts (New England) as teams from the Mid-American Conference to be recognized.
The Bulls finished with a 19-7 overall record and have now won 19+ matches in three of the last four seasons. Graduate student

Maria Glowacka earned All-MAC honors. Off the court, the Bulls had another successful academic year as they earned the department's top GPA for two consecutive semesters and saw multiple student-athletes earn Academic All-MAC and Academic All-District honors.
