MAC Announces Outdoor Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week

MEN’S TRACK — Michael Davis-Hawkins, Eastern Michigan
Eastern Michigan sophomore Michael Davis-Hawkins won the 400m hurdles at the Hillsdale College Last Chance meet in a season-best 52.95. His performance ranks second in the MAC and was the top 400m hurdles time in the conference this past week.
MEN’S FIELD — Gabe Oliveira, Eastern Michigan
Eastern Michigan junior Gabe Oliveira won the triple jump at the Len Paddock Open with a mark of 15.54m (51' 0"). Competing in his first triple jump event since winning the indoor MAC title, Oliveira’s mark leads the MAC by more than a foot, ranks 26th in the NCAA East Region, and is seventh-best in EMU history.
WOMEN’S TRACK — Avery Emerson, Miami (OH)
Miami senior Avery Emerson placed third in the 800m invitational race at the Billy Hayes Invite, clocking 2:06.16. Her performance ranks second in the MAC this season and stands among the three-fastest times in Miami program history.
WOMEN’S FIELD — Mia Boule, Miami (OH)
Miami junior Mia Boule placed second in the pole vault at the Billy Hayes Invite, clearing 4.20m. Her mark set a new Miami school record, leads the MAC this season, and ranks 44th nationally.
