CLEVELAND, Ohio – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) has announced the NCAA Division I Men's Team Scholar All-American Awards, with four Mid-American Conference Teams showcasing a strong commitment to both academic and athletic excellence this season.

George Mason - 3.47 - The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) has announced its NCAA Division I Men's Scholar All-American individual and team awards, recognizing outstanding academic achievement and programs that demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence both on the mat and in the classroom. A record number of teams posted a GPA above 3.0 this season, with George Mason finishing 18th overall. The Patriots have now earned a Top 30 team ranking for the seventh consecutive year. Kaden Cassidy and
Malachi DuVall each collected their third consecutive honors.
Drew Dickson was recognized for the second time, and freshmen
Tate Hisey and
Anthony Lucchiani earned the accolade in their first collegiate seasons.
Ohio - 3.42 - The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) announced the 2026 NCAA Division I Men's Team Scholar All-America Awards. Ohio claimed the 22
nd spot in this year's rankings, with a team GPA of 3.43. A record number of teams had a GPA over 3.0 this season. In addition to these team honors, the NWCA recently announced the 2026 NCAA Division I Men's Scholar All-America individual award winners, where Ohio had six scholar All-Americans:

Garrett Thompson,
Wyatt Schmitt, and
Paul Woo.
Buffalo - 3.42 - For just the third time in program history, the University at Buffalo wrestling team earned the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Team Scholar All-America Award, ranking in the top 30 academically among all Division I programs. The Bulls posted a program-best 3.42 grade point average to rank 24
th in the nation. Seven members of the team were named Scholar All-Americans by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA), announced last week. It was the most in program history, surpassing the previous record of four. Redshirt-Freshman
