CLEVELAND, Ohio - Nineteen of the Mid-American Conference wrestlers from the league's 12 teams earned 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's At-Large, announced by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) earlier this week. 

The Men's At-Large Team recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes at-large honorees in five divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, and the College Division.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 8 (men).

Eighteen of this year's CSC honorees also earned a spot on the 2026 Wrestling Academic All-MAC Team this season (here).  

Bloomsburg Huskies
William Morrow picks up his third career CSC Academic All-District Award as a Business Administration/Finance major with a 3.66 GPA. The Harleysville native went 10-23 on the season with a pair of falls and five tech falls during his senior campaign. Morrow is a three-time NWCA Scholar All-American and a two-time Academic All-MAC team member.
 
Coy Raines, a business major with a 3.57 GPA, earns his first CSC Academic All-District nod. Raines finished fourth on the team in wins this season with 20. The North Chille, New York native earned three falls and four tech falls on the season.


Clarion Golden Eagles 
The College Sports Communicators announced their 2025-26 Academic All-District At-Large, with Clarion's Ethan Wiant (wrestling) recognized for his success this year. Wiant (3.90 – Nutrition & Fitness) is recognized as an Academic All-District honoree for the second straight year, concluding his final season of competition.


Edinboro Fighting Scots
Ryan Burgos, Brody Evans, Jared McGill, Ryan Michaels, Christopher Vargo


Kent State Golden Flashes
Men's wrestler Blake Schaffer (Senior) earned the recognition for the third year in a row, while Ethan Barr (Redshirt Junior) repeats as a recipient of the honor. First-time honorees included Nico Calello (Redshirt Junior). 


Northern Illinois Huskies
Blake West (Redshirt-Senior, Biological Sciences, 4.0 GPA) earned his fourth straight Academic All-District selection while Tommy Bennett (Junior, Nursing, 3.66 GPA) was also a repeat selection.

West became NIU Wrestling's all-time wins leader this season, going 20-7 to finish his career with a 119-33 record. He won the 125-pound championship at the Ken Kraft Midlands in December and was a perfect 6-0 in Mid-American Conference duals. Bennett was 15-12 on the year and earned MAC Wrestler of the Week on Jan. 27 after his 6-5 victory over 10^th-ranked Garrett Thompson of Ohio. 174. Caleb Roe (Senior, General Emphasis, 3.515 GPA) adds the Academic All-District honor to his Academic All-MAC selection.


Ohio Bobcats
Sal Perrine (Northfield, Ohio), a Business major with a 3.777 GPA, won his first MAC title to secure his third trip to the NCAA Championships as a Bobcat. Perrine went 3-0 in Buffalo, defeating fellow NCAA qualifier Malachi DuVall of George Mason in the championship match. During the regular season, Perrine went 21-6 overall, 13-1 in duals, and was 9-0 in conference matchups. Perrine advanced to day two at the 2026 NCAA Wrestling Championships, entering the weekend at the 15^th seed and defeating Jake Daley of North Carolina on day one.  


Rider Broncs
Rider University wrestler Tyler Klinsky (Middletown, NJ/Middletown North) was named to the College Sports Communicators 2026 Academic All-District® At-Large Team by the association's office.


SIUE Cougars
Bryson Buhk, Drew Davis and Brock Woodcock were among the At-Large honorees for SIUE. Eligible nominees were in the lineup for 75 percent of an institution's scored events and achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.500. All three were major contributors to the Cougars winning the Mid-American Conference West Division crown for the first time this past season.

Buhk, a redshirt junior from DeKalb, Illinois, posted a 19-14 record with a 3-3 record in Mid-American Conference play. A psychology major with a 3.588 grade point average, he finished third at heavyweight at the MAC Championships.

Davis, a sophomore from Chatham, Illinois, placed sixth at the MAC Championships. An exercise science major with a 3.55 GPA, he recorded a 10-15 record at 125 pounds.

Woodcock earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships with a true second-place finish at the MAC Championships. A mechanical engineering major with a 3.910 GPA, he led all SIUE wrestlers with 29 victories during the 2025-26 season.
