Klinsky, Henson End NCAA Championships with Eighth-Place Finishes

Watt Henson's All-American Run Ends with an Eighth-Place Finish at NCAA Championships 
CLEVELAND – Lock Haven men's wrestling standout Wyatt Henson placed eighth at the 2026 NCAA Division I Men's Wrestling Championship in Cleveland and earned All-American honors.  
 
Henson, the No. 13 seed at 141 pounds, finished the weekend 4-3 and claimed All-American status for the first time in his career, becoming the 46th Bald Eagle to do so in program history.
 
This morning, in a battle for seventh place, Henson was pinned (4:05) by University of Pennsylvania's No. 11 CJ Composto.
 
Henson opened the tournament strong, dominating No. 20 Julian Tagg (South Dakota State) with an 11-2 major decision. Henson then faced a tough second-round matchup against No. 4 Anthony Echemendia (Iowa State), falling by a 14-4 major decision.
 
Dropping into the consolation bracket, Henson bounced back with three straight wins, including an upset victory over No. 7 Nasir Bailey (Iowa), 6-4.
 
His run to third place came to an end in the consolation quarterfinals, where he dropped a 10-5 decision to No. 18 Carter Nogle (Air Force).
 
Henson concludes one of the finest careers in Lock Haven men's wrestling history, joining the prestigious 100-win club with 108 victories and finishing second all-time in technical falls with 44.
 
The Waynesburg, Pa. native is now an All-American, three-time Mid-American Conference (MAC) Individual Champion, 2024 MAC Tournament Most Outstanding Wrestler and three-time NCAA qualifier.
 
Henson's All-American run highlighted another successful postseason run for The Haven and closed the book on the 2025-26 season.

Tyler Klinsky Caps Six-Year Career with Eighth Place Finish at NCAA Championships 
CLEVELAND, OH - Tyler Klinsky closed out his collegiate career with an eighth-place finish, earning All-American honors on the final day of the NCAA Wrestling Championships at Rocket Arena.

(11) Tyler Klinsky vs. (6) Jore Volk (Minnesota)

In a rematch of their second-round bout on Thursday, Klinsky faced Volk once again with seventh place on the line Saturday morning. Volk jumped out early, building a 6-0 lead in the opening period after a takedown and three near-fall points. He extended his advantage in the second with an escape and another takedown to make it 10-0. Volk maintained control in the third period, securing a 14-1 major decision. Klinsky ultimately finished eighth in the nation at 125 pounds, capping off his career.

- Klinsky finishes his six-year career with the Broncs with a 30-6 overall record in his final season, going 4-3 in his first NCAA Championships appearance.
