Noble and Redd Represent Akron at NCAA Diving Zones | Results
YPSILANTI, Mich. - The University of Akron diving team had two divers compete in the NCAA Diving Zones, hosted by Eastern Michigan, on Monday, March 9.
Akron's
Elizabeth Noble scored 522.25 points to finish 15th in the 1-meter dive. She scored 261.20 in the prelims.
Joining Noble in the 1-meter dive was
Lydia Redd, who finished with a score of 193.30 in the prelims.
Noble will compete in the 3-meter dive tomorrow, March 10, with dives starting at 1 p.m.
Melamud Makes Program History as First Freshman to Qualify for NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The University at Buffalo diving program competed at the 2026 NCAA Zone A Diving Championships on Monday and Tuesday at the United States Naval Academy. The Bulls had five divers qualify for the regional competition, all aiming to punch their tickets to the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships.
Adele Melamud headlined the competition for the Bulls, qualifying for the NCAA Championships in both the one-meter and three-meter events. Melamud became the first freshman in program history to qualify for the NCAA Championships and the fifth diver to qualify for both events.
The freshman began the two-day competition by securing a finals spot in the one-meter with a preliminary round score of 275.50 to place fifth of 86 divers. Melamud also placed fifth in the finals round, posting a 12-dive score of 549.35. The freshman's top-five placement punched her ticket to the NCAA Championships in the one-meter. Melamud doubled back on day two, qualifying for the three-meter finals with a score of 289.90 to place seventh of 66 divers. The freshman finished 11th in the finals of the event with a 12-dive score of 547.10, securing her spot in the three-meter event at NCAA Championships too.
The Bulls had four more divers compete in the three-meter preliminary round.
Sophie Meuwissen (21st, 262.25) missed the top-18 finals cut by less than two points (264.00).
Presley Dorsett also earned a top 25 placement, finishing 23rd with a score of 252.90.
Mallory Hanna (44th, 229.65) and
Maggie Meyers (57th, 208.10) rounded out the Bulls' competitors in the three-meter.
Meuwissen qualified for the one-meter finals on Monday, placing 16th with a 12-dive score of 500.60. The junior finished 12th of 86 divers in the preliminary round with a score of 259.75. Dorsett (29th, 239.55) and Hanna (33rd, 232.00) also competed in the one-meter preliminary round.

Eastern Michigan Divers Complete NCAA Zone Diving Championships | Results
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University divers hosted the 2026 NCAA Zone C Diving Championships at Jones Natatorium Monday-Wednesday, March 9-11.
Competing for the Eagles was
Rose Kendrick in both the one-meter and three-meter dives, and
Meg Lupa, who competed in the platform dive.
Both the women's one-meter and three-meter dives featured 45 athletes, while 26 divers competed in the women's platform dive.
On day one of the meet, Kendrick finished in 19th place in the one-meter dive, scoring 253.50 points. On day two, she finished the three-meter dive with 254.10 points, landing in 26th place.
On the third and final day of competition, Lupa earned 20th place in the platform dive, scoring 198.20 points.

Yaremyn Concludes Competition at NCAA Zone A Diving Championships
ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Four members of the University of Massachusetts diving team completed day one of the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships.
Danielle Guerin and Khrystyna Yaremyn took part in the one-meter dive on Monday. Guerin finished the one-meter with a score of 222.85 to take 47th in the Prelims/Quarterfinals. Yaremyn totaled a 206.60 in the one-meter Prelims/Quarterfinals to place 58th.
On Tuesday, Danielle Guerin and Khrystyna Yaremyn both competed in the three-meter dive Prelims/Quarterfinals. Guerin placed 59th with a score 206.75. Yaremyn took 64th with a six-dive total of 194.35.
Khrystyna Yaremyn wrapped up time for the University of Massachusetts diving team at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships on Wednesday afternoon at Lejeune Hall, and reached the finals. Yaremyn was 17th in the Prelims/Quarterfinals after scoring a 179.95. During the finals, she placed 18th with a score of 360.50.
Ohio Concludes its Season at the NCAA Zone Championships
Ypsilanti, Mich. – Three members of the Ohio Diving team traveled to Eastern Michigan University to conclude their season at the 2026 NCAA Zone C Championships this past week (Mar. 9-10). Junior Astrid Pichardo competed in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives, senior Stephanie Balthaser competed in the 1-meter dive, and freshman Bella Basford competed in the 3-meter dive. Pichardo was the top finisher in both events for the Bobcats.
The 1-meter dives took place on Monday, where Pichardo finished in prelims 28th place with a score of 234.75. Balthaser finished prelims in 40th place with a score of 209.70.
In the 3-meter dives on Tuesday afternoon, Pichardo finished inside the top-25 in 24th place, with a score of 255.25. Basford finished prelims in 40th place with a score of 212.65.
