MAC Announcers Runners of the Week

MEN’S TRACK

Godot Gaskins, Massachusetts – At the IC4L Championships in Boston, Godot Gaskins had a stellar day on the track, placing first in the 400m run and fourth in the 200m dash. Gaskins’ time of 47.33 not only ranks best in the conference, but also set the Massachusetts men’s indoor track and field program record. The Marblehead, Mass. native’s time of 21.28 in the 200m also set the indoor program record.
MEN’S FIELD
Ayden Bath, Kent State – Ayden Bath won the heptathlon at the Doug Raymond Invitational with a total of 5,734 points that ranks 14th nationally and is the most in the event by a MAC competitor since 2020. Bath tied or set new personal-bests in five of the seven events and posted NCAA top-100 marks in the 60-meter hurdles (#55), long jump (#66) and high jump (#92). He is the MAC leader in the high jump (6’-9.75”) and long jump (24’-6.25”).
WOMEN’S TRACK
Megan Hipple, Akron – Akron junior Megan Hipple won the women’s 3,000 meters at the Windy City Invitational on the strength of running a school-record time of 9:17.94. It also marked the No. 2 effort in the MAC this season.
WOMEN’S FIELD
Brook Boes, Akron – Akron redshirt senior Brook Boes captured both the women’s shot put and weight throw at the Doug Raymond Invitational this past weekend. She won the weight throw with a mark of 65-5 (19.94m), while besting the field in the shot put with a mark of 46-8.75 (14.24m). She leads the MAC in both events and is rated No. 33 and No. 42 in the NCAA in the weight throw and shot put.
