Baidy Ba, Kent State – Kent State fifth-year Baidy Ba dominated the voting after running a program-record 13:59.99 in the 5,000m at the Raleigh Relays, placing 28th overall. His performance leads the Mid-American Conference and ranks 29th in the NCAA this season.

Owen Wendl, Akron – Akron redshirt senior Owen Wendl was a double winner at the Don McGarey Invitational, highlighted by a school-record shot put mark of 61-9 (18.82m). He also captured the discus title with a league-leading throw of 180-10 (55.11m). His shot put performance leads the MAC and ranks No. 8 in the NCAA this season.

Dorcas Kiptanui, Toledo – Toledo junior Dorcas Kiptanui opened the outdoor season with a personal-best 15:54.39 in the 5,000m at the Raleigh Relays, placing 11th in a highly competitive national field. Her time ranks seventh in the NCAA this season and leads the Mid-American Conference, while also standing as the second-best mark in program history.
WOMEN’S FIELD
Gabrielle Griffiths, Akron – Akron redshirt senior Gabrielle Griffiths delivered a standout performance at the Don McGarey Invitational, winning the javelin with a career-best throw of 156-4 (47.66m). She also placed second in the hammer throw with a season-best and MAC-leading mark of 190-2 (57.96m). Her javelin mark came in as a career best and her hammer performance ranks among the top in the conference this season.
