MAC Announces Runners of the Week

MEN’S TRACK
Andrew Styles, Akron – Akron junior Andrew Styles won the men’s 400 meters at the YSU Last Chance Invitational in a career-best time of 47.36, while also placing second in the 200 meters with a mark of 21.20. His 400m performance ranks second in the Mid-American Conference this season, and his 200m mark also stands second in the conference. Styles’ standout double contributed significantly to Akron’s strong showing at the meet.
MEN’S FIELD
Isaac Baltic, Akron – Akron sophomore Isaac Baltic cleared a career-best 17-4.50 (5.30m) to win the men’s pole vault at the YSU Last Chance Invitational. His mark ranks No. 1 in the Mid-American Conference this season and No. 46 nationally in the NCAA. Baltic’s performance solidifies him as the conference leader heading into championship competition.
WOMEN’S TRACK
Rachael Hoover, Bowling Green – Rachael Hoover broke the school record and won the 800 meters at the GVSU Big Meet with a time of 2:07.03. The sophomore now holds the fastest 800m time in the Mid-American Conference this season and ranks 84th nationally in the NCAA. Hoover also led off the distance medley relay, helping Bowling Green post the third-fastest DMR time in program history (11:30.57).
WOMEN’S FIELD
Cassidy Allen, Akron – Akron’s Cassidy Allen cleared a career-best 14-2 (4.32m) to win the women’s pole vault at the YSU Last Chance Invitational. Her mark is the top-rated performance in the Mid-American Conference this season, ranks 25th nationally and stands fourth in Akron indoor program history.
