Track and Field 01.27.2026 MAC Announces Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week Men’s Track: Godot Gaskins of UMass (Graduate Student, Marblehead, Mass. / Marblehead) captured first place in the 200m dash at the Scarlet and White Meet, running 21.46. His performance moved him to second in the Mid-American Conference and second-best in program history. Men’s Field: Owen Wendl of Akron (Redshirt Senior, Medina, Ohio) captured first place in the men’s shot put at the Jud Logan Memorial with a career-best throw of 59-4.25 (18.09m). His mark is the third-longest indoor throw in program history and currently ranks first in the MAC and 35th nationally. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Women’s Track: Lianna Surtz of Toledo (Junior, Batavia, Ill.) placed sixth in the mile at the Notre Dame Invitational with a time of 4:45.92. Her mark leads the MAC and ranks 85th nationally in NCAA Division I. Women’s Field: Keeli Dunaway of Kent State (Senior, Lombard, Ill.) captured first place in the triple jump at the Jud Logan Memorial with a MAC-leading mark of 12.77 meters (41-10.75). Her indoor personal best ranks her 37th nationally and fourth on Kent State’s all-time indoor list.
