MAC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week
Joad Martinho, Toledo
Toledo senior Joad Martinho placed 9th at the Under Armour Pre-National Invitational, running 23:25.6 in the 8K just over eight seconds behind the individual champion. The race was held at the Lavern Gibson Cross Country Course, site of the 2026 NCAA Championships, and featured six nationally ranked teams. His performance helped the Rockets finish 8th, and Toledo and No. 8 Syracuse were the only teams with three runners in the top 25.

MAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week
Rylee Shunney, Massachusetts
UMass senior Rylee Shunney placed 3rd out of 286 runners at the ECAC Championships, running a personal-best 20:25.2 in the 6K. She has been the Minutewomen’s top finisher in three consecutive races, and UMass has finished fourth or better in all four of its meets this season.
