MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State soccer team created early pressure and benefitted from an own goal on its way to a 1-0 win against Bowling Green on Saturday afternoon at the Briner Sports Complex.

The Cardinals (5-5-3, 2-2-2 Mid-American Conference) handed the Falcons (6-2-4, 2-1-3 MAC) their first MAC loss of the season with the decision. The hosts got on the board in the 11th minute after Anna Kate Robillard crossed a ball near the left post that was deflected into the back of the net by a Bowling Green defender.

Delaney Ahearn, Jordyn Klaasen, Annika Klauss and Kaelyn Valleau took one shot on goal each for the hosts, while LG Moncrief took two shots.

Junior goalkeeper Kate Pallante kept a clean sheet with five saves on the day to earn the win. Moncrief, Klaasen, Audrey Goodyear, Ainsley Schaufele and Grier Isaacson joined Pallante as Cardinals playing the full 90 minutes.

The visiting Falcons suffered only their second conference loss since the start of the 2025 season, as they had a 6-1-10 record entering Saturday's contest in that time frame.

Bowling Green took more shots (10-7) than the Cardinals, but Ball State generated more corner kicks on the day (5-4). Both teams were whistled for 11 fouls for the match.
