SINGAPORE - Former University of Akron Zip Grace Nuhfer reached the podium three times at the 2025 World Para Swimming Championships, taking home a gold and two bronze medals.

Nuhfer, competing in her first world championships on Sunday (Sept. 21), made a big splash; winning Team USA's first medal, and first gold, of the 2025 Championships with a commanding victory in the women's 100m butterfly S13. Clocking a time of 1:03.33, she improved on her Paralympic debut last summer, where she won silver in the same event.

Tuesday (Sept. 23) saw Nufher add to her medal count with a third-place finish in the 100m freestyle S13, while Friday (Sept. 26) featured a bronze medal result in the 400m freestyle S13. She capped off the World Para Swimming Championships with a fourth place finish in the 200m IM S13 on Saturday (Sept. 27).
