Klintemar Sets Akron School & MAC Record in 100 Fly at NCAA Championships
ATLANTA, Ga. - Felicia Klintemar and
Claire Cox represented the University of Akron swim and dive program at the 2026 NCAA Championships on Thursday, March 19.
Klintemar set a school and Mid-American Conference record in the 100 fly prelims on Thursday as she earned All-American status. She became the first swimmer in the MAC and Akron to post a sub-51 second time (50.89) while placing ninth. She placed first in her heat.
Cox placed 41st in the 100 breast with a time of 1:00.62.
Klintemar is back in the pool on Saturday, March 21, when she competes in the 200 IM.
Ohio's DiBetta and Szoke Complete Thursday's NCAA Championship Competition

Casadie DiBetta finish their first day of competition at the 2026 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, hosted by Georgia Tech, in Atlanta, Georgia.
In Thursday's 200-yard freestyle, Szoke finished fifth in her preliminary heat, finishing 37
th overall with a time of 1:46.03.
In the 100-yard breaststroke, DiBetta finished her preliminary heat in eighth place and finished 43
rd overall with a time of 1:00.67.
Both Szoke and DiBetta are back in action on Friday, March 20, for their second day of competition. DiBetta will kick things off Friday morning with the 200-yard breaststroke, and Szoke will swim shortly after in the 50-yard freestyle. Prelims are set for 10 a.m. ET with finals at 6 p.m. ET. Only the top eight finishers in each event will swim in the final round. Both sessions can be seen on ESPN+.
