MAC Swimming & Diving Teams Earn CSCAA Scholar All-America Honors for the Spring 2025 semester

Akron, 3.63 - Six members of the Akron swimming and diving team were named to the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-American Team for the 2024-25 season on Tuesday, July 8.

Abigail Daniel was named to the first team while Felicia KlintemarElizabeth NobleLaurel SmithMadelyn Gatrall and Rebecca Reid were named to the second team.

To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participated in their national championship. Second-Team selections, must have also earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and met a "B" time standard for the national championship or qualified for a diving zone qualification meet.

Bowling Green, 3.76 - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) recently announced the selection of the Spring 2025 Scholar All-America Teams. Of those named, Bowling Green earned Scholar All-America status among the Division I teams announced, having 33 participants from the team included while maintaining a 3.76 GPA. 

In total across all divisions, 763 teams from 432 institutions, totaling 18,459 student-athletes, were selected for their outstanding academic achievements. From the Division I Women's level, 171 teams received the recognition. To earn this prestigious honor, teams were required to achieve a grade point average of 3.00 or higher during the Spring 2025 semester. 

For the Falcons, the 3.76 GPA for the Falcons topped the Mid-American Conference and ranked tied for 17th in Division I. The GPA mark was an improvement over last year's 3.69 GPA during the spring semester. As for the season, Bowling Green made a clean sweep of the award, receiving it during the fall semester as well. 

"I'm proud of how our ladies continue to excel in the classroom," said BGSU head coach Tanner Barton. "Earning the top GPA in the conference - for the second consecutive semester - is a very special honor." 

Buffalo, 3.65 - The University at Buffalo swimming and diving program earned Scholar All-America honors from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for the 2025 spring semester.

The Bulls earned the Scholar All-America distinction for the 27th consecutive semester. To earn the honor, teams must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or greater. The program has not only met that mark but exceeded a 3.50 GPA in the past nine semesters.

Eastern Michigan, 3.68 - The Eastern Michigan University swim & dive team earned the Team Scholar All-America Award for the 2025 spring semester from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for the 24th time in program history, the organization announced Thursday, July 3.

To earn this prestigious honor, teams were required to achieve a grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher during the Spring 2025 semester.
 
The Eagles showcased their academic prowess as they recorded a 3.694 cumulative GPA in the 2025 winter semester with eight posting a perfect 4.0 and all 32 student-athletes notching at least a 3.0.
 
The honor comes after four swim & dive student-athletes – Ciara WheelerLucy NobleMalia Maire, and Olivia Clarino were named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District, April 1, as all had at least a 3.96 GPA. Furthermore, 18 Eagles earned Mid-American Conference Academic All-MAC recognition after participating in at least 50% of the 2024-25 meets and recording at least a 3.20 GPA, March 31.   

Miami, 3.60 - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced the Individual Scholar All-Americans and the programs that received Team Scholar All-America honors for the spring 2025 semester this afternoon. The Miami University women's swimming and diving team was recognized by the CSCAA as a Scholar All-America Team.

The teams were required to achieve a grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher during the Spring 2025 semester. To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participated in their national championship. Second-Team selections, must have also earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and met a "B" time standard for the national championship or qualified for a diving zone qualification meet

Ohio, 3.63 - The Ohio swimming and diving team was named CSCAA Scholar All-American Teams, the organization announced. Along with the team recognition, five Bobcats were named CSCAA Individual Scholar All-Americans

To earn this prestigious honor, teams were required to achieve a grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher during the Spring 2025 semester.

The Bobcats finished the spring semester with a 3.63 team GPA. Ohio was also recognized in the fall for the Team recognition. 

Toledo, 3.56 - The Toledo women's swimming and diving team was selected as Spring Team Scholar All-America by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America, the CSCAA announced on Thursday. 

The Rockets finished with a 3.634 GPA during the spring 2025 semester to obtain the award. To qualify, teams must have combined for at least a 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale).

Toledo received the award for a 10th-consecutive semester.

The team honor adds to several individual awards during this past season. An impressive 16 student-athletes qualified for the Academic All-MAC list, while Leah EvansNejla KaricMolly Pressler and Janne Slegers were each named CSC Academic All-District.

Toledo is one of 763 teams from 432 institutions to qualify for the award this spring. Both men's and women's teams were selected for the award.
