Cardinals Collect WGCA All-Scholar Team GPA Award

CORAL SPRINGS, Florida (July 16, 2025) – The Ball State University women’s golf team has been named the recipient of the 2024-25 WGCA All-Scholar Team GPA Award. The award recognizes the women’s collegiate golf program with the highest collective average team GPA which includes all the team’s student-athletes for the 2024-25 season.

With an outstanding average cumulative GPA of 3.968, the Cardinals led all NCAA Division I women's golf programs. The award accounts for the academic performance of all nine student-athletes on Ball State's 2024-25 roster.

"We have some truly remarkable student-athletes who strive for excellence in everything they do every single day," head coach Cameron Andry said. "I'm also grateful to Lara Hillenberg and the team at Student Athlete Support Services for their unwavering support of our amazing scholars."

Every member of the team has achieved a cumulative GPA of at least 3.704 over their collegiate career, with perfect 4.000 GPAs recorded by senior Payton Bennett, junior Sarah Gallagher, senior Sabrina Langerak and sophomore Madelyn Young.

The WGCA All-Scholar Team GPA Award is presented annually by the Women's Golf Coaches Association, underscoring academic excellence in women's collegiate golf.

The Bowling Green Falcons also represented the Mid-American Conference on this year's list, finishing the 2024-25 season with one of the nation's Top 25 Team GPA's of 3.857.
 
Furthermore, the WGCA announced the top 25 teams with the highest team GPA for Division I, Division II and Division III, as well as the top 10 teams for NAIA. The full Division I Top 25 list can be found below:
