Offensive Player of the Week
Mackenzie Blackwell, Eastern Michigan

Blackwell turned in a pair of hat tricks as she scored three at No. 16 Michigan before scoring a season-high-tying five in a crucial win over Detroit Mercy, finishing the week with eight goals on 14 shots with 11 shots on goal. Blackwell, who recorded her second hat trick of the season against a nationally-ranked foe (3 at No. 11 Notre Dame), has tallied 10 hat tricks this season, which ties her own school record, while bringing her season goal total to 42, leaving her seven shy of tying her own EMU record (49) set last year. All told, Blackwell, who has 27 career hat tricks, scored one free-position goal with the rest coming during the run of play. Blackwell leads the MAC in total goals (42) and goals per game average (3.5).
Defensive Player of the Week
Katie Baumer, Akron
Junior, Rochester, N.Y. (Penfield)
Akron junior defensive midfielder Katie Baumer posted a game-high five draw controls and four caused turnovers in a 14-9 victory for the Zips over Kent State. Additionally, she added three goals and three assists on the strength of four shots, including three on goal, while collecting a trio of ground balls. She helped the Zips hold the Golden Flashes without a goal in the opening quarter on four shots in the period. Her efforts helped Akron create 15 turnovers in the game, including eight in the second half when the Zips broke open a 4-4 tied game at halftime, en route to victory. Offensively, she scored or assisted on six of Akron's 14 goals.
Goalkeeper of the Week
Maddie Porter, Eastern Michigan
Sophomore, Montrose, N.Y. (Hendrick Hudson)
Porter recorded 18 saves in two games, including 11 in a pivotal win at home against Detroit Mercy, to help the Eagles to a 1-1 record this week.
Porter opened the week with seven stops and four ground balls against the No. 16 Michigan Wolverines before capping the weekend with 11 saves, seven ground balls, and three caused turnovers to help hand the Titans their first MAC loss of the year.
In the game with UDM, Porter led a defense that held the Titans to just eight goals scored, their fewest in a league game this year, while holding MAC foes in back-to-back home games to single-digit goals for the first time in program history after defeating Youngstown State (March 23), 19-6.
All told, the 11 saves vs. UDM are the third-most in a MAC game at Eastern and the eighth-most in a game while marking the sixth time this year Porter has recorded 11+ saves in a game.
