MAC Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week
Lachlan Cornelius – Eastern Michigan – Sophomore

Event: 800m Invitational – 1st
Meet: GVSU Extra Weekend Meet

Rank: 1st MAC
Note: Eastern Michigan sophomore distance runner Lachlan Cornelius ran a MAC-best 800m for the second straight weekend as he placed first out of 37 competitors in 1:48.38 at the GVSU Extra Weekend Meet, hosted by Grand Valley State University at the GVSU Lacrosse/Outdoor Track & Field Stadium Saturday, April 26. Cornelius’ time topped his previous conference-best mark (1:49.25) by nearly a full second as his time ranks sixth in the Great Lakes Region, eighth in program history, and 42nd on the East Qualifying List. Additionally, his time is the fastest in the event from an Eagle since Eastern legend and former Olympian Paul McMullen ran a 1:46.48 in 1995.

Lane Graham – Akron – Senior

Event: Hammer Throw – 2nd
Meet: Ashland Alumni Open
Mark: 207-7 (63.29m)
Rank: 1st MAC / 67th NCAA
Note: Lane Graham posted a career-best throw of 207-7 (63.29m) to place second at the Ashland Alumni Open. His mark ranks first in the MAC, 67th nationally, and is the fourth-best in Akron program history.

Rank: HT – 5th MAC | DT – 18th MAC
Note: Jake McEachern earned the first hammer throw win of his career with a toss of 60.62m. He also placed 12th in the discus. His hammer mark ranks fifth in the MAC and 15th in the Great Lakes Region.
 
Alexandre Malanda – Kent State – Senior
Event: Triple Jump – 1st
Meet: Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational
Mark: 16.07m (52’-8.75”)
Rank: 1st MAC / 6th NCAA
Note: Alexandre Malanda won the triple jump with a personal-best 16.07m, moving to No. 4 on Kent State’s all-time outdoor list. He now ranks No. 6 nationally.
 
Andrew Farrow – Miami University – Sophomore
Event: Long Jump – 6th
Meet: Clark Wood Invitational
Mark: 7.24m
Rank: 4th MAC / 176th NCAA
Note: Andrew Farrow finished sixth in the long jump with a PR of 7.24m, beating his previous best by over 0.20 meters. His mark ranks fourth in the MAC.

Note: Luke Stoeffler ran a personal best of 8:58.22, breaking the UB school record by four seconds. His time ranks third in the MAC and 13th in the NCAA Northeast Region.
 
Jaheim Jones – Kent State – Graduate Student
Events: 200m – 2nd (20.85) | 4x100m Relay – 1st (39.94)
Meet: Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational
Rank: 1st MAC (200m and 4x100m)
Note: Jaheim Jones placed second in the 200m with a MAC-leading time of 20.85. He also anchored Kent State’s 4x100m relay team to a first-place finish in 39.94.
 
Leo Bouldin – Miami University – Senior
Event: 200m – 17th
Meet: Clark Wood Invitational
Time: 21.44 seconds
Rank: 3rd MAC
Note: Leo Bouldin finished 17th in the 200m dash with a time of 21.44 seconds, currently ranking third in the MAC.
