At 141 pounds, Griffin outscored his opponents 46-11 on his way to the championship bout. His semifinal win over No. 28 Nash Singleton showcased his pace and control, using early pressure, a second-period takedown, and a tough ride to earn an 8-2 decision and secure his spot in the finals.
In the title match against No. 6 Anthony Echemendia (Iowa State), Griffin took a 1-0 lead early in the second period and continued to battle through every position before ultimately falling 6-2 to finish as the tournament runner-up after entering as the No. 6 seed. Competing in one of the nation’s toughest tournaments, Griffin delivered one of the strongest national showings in program history.
