DALLAS, Pa. – The Bloomsburg Huskies collected five bonus-point victories Tuesday night to secure a 27-13 non-conference dual win over Misericordia. Bloomsburg evened its record at 6-6 on the season, while the Cougars slipped to 0-2 in dual competition.
Misericordia jumped out to an early advantage at 125 pounds, as Jaydin Barreto edged Gavin Martin by an 8-6 decision. Bloomsburg answered immediately at 133, with Aiden Grogg earning a 15-7 major decision over Kruz McCusker to swing the momentum back to the Huskies.
After Misericordia reclaimed a narrow lead at 141 pounds behind a 4-2 decision by Nikosh Marston over Richie Woods, Bloomsburg took firm control of the dual with a string of bonus-point wins. Dustin Elliott started the surge at 149 pounds with a 14-5 major decision over Michael Williams.
Cael Raines followed with a first-period fall at 1:15 against Myles Tirpak at 157 pounds, giving the Huskies a 14-6 lead. Wrestling up from his usual weight, William Morrow continued the run with a dominant 22-6 technical fall at 4:12 over Jake Weaver at 165 pounds, extending Bloomsburg's advantage to 19-6.
Misericordia picked up victories in the next two bouts, including an 11-2 major decision by Anthony Matas over Vasillios Dimou at 174 pounds and an 8-1 decision from Robbie Anderson against Connor Hudak at 184, trimming the Huskies' lead to 19-13.
Bloomsburg closed the door over the final two matches. Coy Raines delivered a 21-3 technical fall in just 2:58 against Tristen Cuellar at 197 pounds to seal the dual. Tyler McCatharn apped the night at heavyweight with an 8-1 overtime decision over Aiden Hidlay, finalizing the 27-13 victory.

Bloomsburg returns to the mat Saturday at the VMI Duals in Lexington, Va. The Huskies open the day against Sacred Heart at 11 a.m. before closing the event against VMI at 3 p.m. The Bloomsburg-VMI dual will stream live on ESPN+.
