The Scholar Athlete of the Week Award is presented to a MAC male and/or female student-athlete who has a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and performs well during that week's competition. An institution can nominate up to one male and one female student-athlete per week in any of that current season's sports. The winners are selected by a representative of the MAC's Faculty Athletics Representatives (FARs).

In Central Michigan's 28-16 win at Kent State, Jordan Kwiatkowski led the Chippewas with 14 tackles, a career-high 4.5 tackles for loss for 24 yards, a forced fumble and a sack for 12 yards. His 4.5 tackles for loss ranks tied for No. 11 all-time in school history. Registered his second forced fumble in as many games.

Week’s Achievements (detailed description of week’s events): Sophomore Grace Freiberger helped lead the Toledo women's volleyball team to its first-ever MAC Championship on Sunday with an incredible defensive performance in the MAC Tournament. Freiberger totaled 82 digs throughout three matches, firing off 5.86 digs/set. The sophomore libero also added 19 assists, including a career-best 11 helpers in the championship match against Western Michigan, and six service aces throughout the tournament. She tied her season high with 29 digs in the championship match as well and was named to the MAC All-Tournament Team. Freiberger also became the Toledo single season digs leader with 620 this season.
