KSU Dominates Mount Union In Josh Moore's First Victory As Head Coach

STOW, Ohio– The Kent State Wrestling team dominated Mount Union in a shutout victory on Friday night at Stow-Munroe Falls High School by a score of 49-0. It was the squad's first dual win under first-year Head Coach Josh Moore.

"I am extremely grateful to be in this position and truly appreciate all the support from the community," said Moore. "A special thanks to Stow HS and Stow Youth Wrestling Club for hosting this fun event."

It didn't take long for the Flashes to get out in front as redshirt junior Nico Callelo(125) pinned his opponent in the first two minutes of the match. Fellow redshirt junior Ethan Barr recorded the other pin of the night for the Blue and Gold early in his match as well. 

The team also recorded six Technical Fall wins from Landen Duncan, Nate Roth, Carson MillerTrent ThomasBlake Schaffer and Brentan SimmermanKeegan Knapp won in a Major Decision, while Nick Molchak won in a 9-5 decision.
