Men’s Track Athlete of the Week
Jameel WIlliamson, Akron, Senior
Al Campbell Invitational, 400m/1, 48.23, 5 MAC/267 NCAA
Akron senior Jameel Williamson (Columbus, Ohio) captured the men's 400 meters at the Al Campbell Invitational on Feb. 16 crossing the line in a career-best time of 48.23.
 
Men’s Field Athlete of the Week
Hunter Garretson, Akron, R-Junior
Al Campbell Invitational, PV/1, 5.72m, 1 MAC/2 NCAA
Akron redshirt junior Hunter Garretson triumphed in the men's pole vault at the Al Campbell Invitational on Feb. 16 registering a career-best mark of 18-9.25 (5.72m), the No. 2 performance in the NCAA this season. He attempted to set the No. 1 mark in the NCAA this season at 5.82, but was unsuccessful in his three attempts.
  
Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
Gabrielle Hammonds, Kent State, R-Sophomore
Al Campbell Invitational, 60mH/1, 8.69, 7 MAC/246 NCAA
Gabrielle Hammonds ran a personal-best of 8.69 seconds to win the 60-meter hurdles at the Al Campbell Invitational.
 
Women’s Field Athlete of the Week
Gabby Bailey, Kent State, Grad Student
Al Campbell Invitational, SP/1, 15.81m, 2 MAC/55 NCAA
Gabby Bailey recorded a season-best throw of 15.81m (51’-10.5”) to win the shot put at the Al Campbell Invitational. Bailey’s mark puts her at #55 on the national performance list this season.
