Offensive Player of the Week
Lexi Czerwien, Bowling Green, Defender

Lexi Czerwien was involved in the scoring of both BGSU goals in the Falcons’ lone match of the week, a 2-1 win over Northern Illinois. Czerwien had an assist on Emma Stransky’s goal that opened the scoring late in the first half. Then, in the 50th minute, Czerwien scored what would prove to be the game-winning goal, breaking a 1-1 tie. The three-point game was the first of her career.
On the season, Czerwien leads the Falcons in goals, with four, and points, with nine. She is tied for the BGSU lead with two game-winning goals. BGSU is tied for second in the MAC standings, just one point out of first place.
Defensive Player of the Week
Sammi Glover, Western Michigan, Defender
Redshirt Freshman, Rochester, Mich. (Rochester)
Redshirt freshman defender Sammi Glover helped Western Michigan remain undefeated in conference play and at the top of the MAC standings by scoring a goal in a 3-1 victory over Kent State on Saturday night.
Trailing by one with under 16 minutes to play in the first half, Glover found some open space near the box and buried a shot by the goalkeeper to knot the game at 1-1. The goal was Glover's first in her career.
Not only did she provide the game-tying goal, but she played 50 minutes and helped WMU blank the Golden Flashes during her time on the pitch. After Glover entered the game, KSU didn't attempt a shot on goal the rest of the game.
Defensive Player of the Week
Lexie Thompson, Buffalo, Goalkeeper
Sophomore, Levittown, N.Y. (General Douglas MacArthur)
Sophomore Lexie Thompson continues to be an anchor between the pipes for Buffalo as she made six saves and recorded her eighth shutout of the year in a complete game effort at Ball State on Sunday.
The Levittown, NY native is putting together an impressive resume on the season as she leads the MAC and ranks in the top 15 in the nation in shutouts (8), goals against average (0.33) and save percentage (.920).
