2023 MAC Wrestling Championships Begin Today!

FAIRFAX, VA. — The 2023 MAC Wrestling Championships will be held Friday, March 3 and Saturday, March 4 at the EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Va.. The event will be hosted by George Mason University.

For the second straight year, Lock Haven claimed the MAC East Regular Season Dual Championship. This year's East Division title was shared with Rider University. 

At the 2022 MAC Championships, the Bald Eagles pulled off a dominant team title win with 15.5 points to the nearest competition. At 125 pounds, Anthony Noto looks to defend his individual crown, and is the No. 1 seed heading into the tournament. Noto has amassed a 25-2 record and currently sits at No. 10 in the NCAA Coaches’ Poll. 

Central Michigan finished 5-1 in the MAC West, claiming their second consecutive MAC West Regular Season Dual Championship. CMU's Corbyn Munson (157 pounds) and Alex Cramer (174) are the Chippewas who have earned No. 1 seeds for the two-day tournament, which not only determines the best in the MAC but which wrestlers will earn coveted spots in the NCAA Championships, which are scheduled for March 16-18 in Tulsa, Okla.

The opening round, which will consist of 50 matches, will start at 12 p.m. on Friday, followed by the championship quarterfinals and the first consolation round at 2 p.m. Day one closes with the championship semifinals and the second consolation round at 5 p.m. 

Saturday starts at 11:30 a.m. with the consolation quarterfinals, followed by the consolation semifinals at 1 p.m.The championship finals are set to start at 3 p.m. If necessary, NCAA Qualifying Spot Matches will follow. For more information, visit the MAC Championship Central page.
