CLEVELAND, Ohio – Bowling Green & Ball State have been selected to win their respective divisions in the 2022 MAC Volleyball Preseason Coaches’ Poll. The Falcons received 11 votes to win the East Division, and also received seven of a possible 12 votes to win the conference tournament. The Cardinals, who were 2021 MAC West Division and Tournament Champions, were a unanimous choice to take the West Division’s regular-season crown and received four votes to repeat as tournament champions.
In addition, thirteen of the league's top volleyball student-athletes were also selected to the preseason All-MAC teams for the East and West Divisions.
Petra Indrova (Bowling Green), Katelyn Meyer (Bowling Green), Julia Walz (Bowling Green), Savannah Matthews (Kent State), Caroline Clippard (Ohio), and Sam Steele (Ohio) complete the Preseason East All-MAC Team.
The Preseason West All-MAC Team includes Natalie Mitchem (Ball State), Marie Plitt (Ball State), Megan Wielonski (Ball State), Raeven Chase (Eastern Michigan), Taylor Alt (Toledo), Western Michigan (Logan Case) and Maggie King (Western Michigan).
