MAC Baseball Player of the Week
Drew Lechnir, Central Michigan, Outfielder
Sophomore, Kimberly, Wis.
Lechnir helped CMU take three of four from Western Michigan by batting .647 on the week with 11 hits and nine runs scored. The sophomore had a pair of home runs, the first in his CMU career. He drove in six runs during the series and had an OBS of 1.667. Lechnir had three hits in all three of CMU's wins and also scored three runs in each one of those games. He struck out just once in 18 plate appearances and was perfect in the field with seven putouts.
MAC Baseball Co-Pitchers of the Week
Tyler Schweitzer, Ball State, Pitcher

Tyler Schweitzer was phenomenal for the Cardinals in his lone start over the week. He picked up a complete-game shutout and scattered just two hits. He finished with nine strikeouts and did not walk anyone. Opponents only hit .087 against him for the week. He improved to 8-2 on the season.
Kyle Jones, Toledo, RHP
Junior, St. Clair Shores, Mich. (De La Salle)
Kyle Jones played a big role in two of Toledo's three victories this week, earning the save in Wednesday's win over Miami and earning the win in Saturday's series opener. Against the RedHawks, Jones made his first relief appearance of the season and pitched a scoreless top of the ninth while striking out two to earn his first career save. Then, in the series opener against Bowling Green on Saturday, Jones threw six innings of one-run ball while striking out six and walking zero.
