Drew Lechnir, Central Michigan

Drew Lechnir led CMU to a 5-0 week, hitting .611 with 11 total hits and 10 RBI. Lechnir had a pair of three hit games including Sunday's series finale against Akron, going 3-5 with a pair of doubles, a career best 5 RBI and 2 runs scored. He also score three runs and had 2 RBI in the series opener against the Zips. For the week, Lechnir had an on-base of .677, a slugging of .722 and only 2 strikeouts in 21 plate appearances.
Jeron Williams, Toledo
Infield, Sophomore, Archbold, Ohio (Archbold)
Jeron Williams had a terrific weekend for the Rockets, helping them sweep Eastern Michigan and score 46 runs in four games. As Toledo's leadoff hitter, Williams hit .647 at the plate (11-for-17), scored eight runs, drove in six, and did not strike out, while also stealing two bases. Williams had multiple hits in each game, including three straight three-hit performances to open the series. He drove in three runs in the opener, hit a home run in game two, and drove in two runs in UT's 21-7 victory on Saturday. He ended the series with a 2-for-4 performance while scoring twice. Williams' outstanding weekend has put him into a tie for first place in the league in hits (57), and placed him in the Top 10 in the league in batting average (.348) and runs scored (35). His 41 hits in conference play are more than anyone else in the MAC.
MAC Co-Pitchers of the Week
Gage Schenk, Bowling Green
Pitcher, Senior, Wapakoneta, Ohio (Wapakoneta)
Bowling Green senior Gage Schenk tossed a complete game shutout for the Falcons on Friday (April 22) against Western Michigan. The outing marked Schenk's first complete game at BGSU while throwing a season-high 114 pitches. Schenk allowed just four hits and walk only one in the process of striking out six in the 4-0 win. The performance marked the first complete game shutout by a Falcon since the 2015 season.
Adam Mrakitsch, Central Michigan
RHP, Freshman, Howell/Howell HS
Mrakitsch went 2-0 on the week, not allowing a run and just three hits in his two starts. In his first career MAC start, the true freshman threw 6 1/3 scoreless innings over Akron, allowing just two hits and a pair of walks. Versus Madonna, Mrakitsch went three innings, giving up just one hit and striking out a career best six. For the week, he posted a 0.75 WHIP and brought his ERA down to 2.11 this season.
