MAC Announces Baseball Players & Pitchers of the Week

MAC Baseball Player of the Week
Collin Mathews, Kent State, CF

Mathews was red hot for the Golden Flashes as they swept Austin Peay. Mathews finished the weekend with a .700 avg., 8 RBI’s and 13 total bases. He had a trio of multi-hit games including going 5-6 in Saturday's doubleheader sweep. He slugged a pair of homers and stole four bases, including a steal of home. He also had 11 putouts and assisted on a pair of double plays.
 
MAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Ty Johnson, Ball State, Pitcher

Ty Johnson pitched an absolute gem against FAMU where he had a no-hitter through six innings of work. He only gave up one hit, which came in the bottom of the seventh. He struck out a career-high nine batters as posted the most innings pitched in a single appearance with six innings. He picked up his first win of the season and moved to 1-1 on the year.
