Payton Sparks, Ball State, Center

Payton Sparks led the Cardinals in scoring and rebounding for the week. He averaged 16.3 points a game and added 9.7 boards per contest. In the opening game of the Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship with an 11-point performance, while adding seven rebounds. In Ball State's victory against Missouri State, he produced a career-high 24 points along with a game-high 12 rebounds for his first double-double of the tournament. He added two steals and two assists. Sparks collected his second-straight double-double as he tied for a team-high 14 points and brought down 10 rebounds. He shot 67.9 percent from the field and 1.000 percent from 3-point range. His lone 3-pointer was a buzzer beater at the end of the first half against Missouri State.
Miles Brown, Ohio, Guard
Senior, Rochester, N.Y.
Senior guard Miles Brown led Ohio this past weekend to two victories in the 2022 Bobcat Battle. Overall, Brown averaged 16.0 points. 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals a game. He shot .688 from the field and was 8-of-11 (.727) from three, while making both free throws. He was also named the Bobcat Battle Tournament MVP. On 11/25 against Eastern Illinois, Brown scored 14 points, went 4-of-6 from the field, 4-of-4 from three, while setting a new career-high in threes made. He also grabbed three rebounds and has three steals in the 78-67 victory. Then on Nov. 27 against Alabama State, Brown was sensational, scoring 18 points, going 7-of-10 from the field, 4-of-7 from three and grabbed two rebounds and had one block in the 72-58 win.
