MAC Announces Week 12 Football Players of the Week

MAC East Division Offensive Player of the Week
Odieu Hiliare, Bowling Green, WR   
Senior, Belle Glade, Fla. (Glades Central HS)                                               
Hiliare helped Bowling Green win its rivalry game at Toledo, 42-35. It was BGSU's first win at Toledo since 2008. Hiliare caught eight passes for 246 yards and two touchdowns in the win. The 246 receiving yards rank No. 3 all-time on BGSU's single-game ledger and No. 11 all-time on the MAC's single-game list. The 246 receiving yards are also tied for the second-most in the nation this season. Hiliare made three receptions of 50 or more yards (50, 54, 59) and five of his eight receptions went for 25 or more yards. His first touchdown was on a 25-yard pass to put BGSU up 7-0 in the first quarter. Hiliare would score his second touchdown on a 59-yard strike in the fourth quarter that put BGSU up 34-21 late.
 
MAC East Division Defensive Player of the Week
Alvin Floyd, Ohio, Safety
North Miami Beach, Fla. (North Miami Beach)       
Floyd led the Bobcats' defense in their 32-18 victory over Ball State last Tuesday. He finished the game with five solo tackles and 7 assisted tackles as well as the only interception. Floyd also registered 0.5 tackles for loss and one pass breakup.
 
MAC East Division Special Teams Player of the Week
PaSean Wimberly, Bowling Green, RB         
Junior, Toledo, Ohio (Whitmer)                                                                               
Wimberly blocked his third punt of the season in the second quarter and it went into the end zone and was recovered by BGSU for a touchdown. It is the second time this season he blocked a punt that was recovered for a touchdown. The block against UT for a touchdown put BGSU up 21-0 and helped set the tone for BGSU. Is tied for No. 1 in the nation with three blocked punts.

Tucker Gleason, Toledo, QB 
Redshirt Freshman, Tampa, Fla. (Plant)       
Redshirt freshman Tucker Gleason started in place of the injured Dequan Finn and nearly completed the comeback from a 21-point deficit in Toledo's 42-35 loss to BGSU. He completed 22-of-40 passes for 329 yards and three TDs. He also rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns on 17 attempts. The 106 rushing yards is tied for 10th-most in a game by a Rocket quarterback.
 
MAC West Division Defensive Player of the Week
Jose Ramirez, Eastern Michigan, Defensive End     
Senior, Lake Alfred, Fla.-Auburndale                                                
Defensive end Jose Ramirez was outstanding in EMU’s game against Kent State, Nov. 16. He finished with a team-high seven tackles, including 3.5 tackles for loss. His TFL total is his second-best of the season, just behind the four he registered at WMU, Oct. 8. Ramirez has 17.5 sacks in his career, which ties for fourth all-time in program history. Additionally, the 3.5 TFLs Ramirez recorded against Kent State moved him up to 31.0 TFLs in his career, moving him to No. 7 all-time at EMU. He currently ranks seventh in the nation with 9.0 sacks this season.

No Week 12 nominees
