• Buffalo rallied to defeat UMass, 25-18, in overtime to retain the Flagship Cup. • Western Michigan built a 21-0 lead through three quarters and held off a late Central Michigan rally to earn a 21-14 road victory and retain the Victory Cannon. Jalen Buckley rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns as the Broncos controlled the ground game, totaling 224 rushing yards. The Chippewas scored twice in the fourth quarter, but Western Michigan secured the win with a late interception in the end zone.

• Miami pulled away for a 34-14 victory over Akron behind a dominant defensive effort and a season-best 324 rushing yards. The RedHawks intercepted four passes, turning the takeaways into 21 points, including Blayne Myrick’s 36-yard pick-six in the third quarter. Rodney Nelson rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns, including a 58-yard score, as Miami earned its ninth consecutive win over the Zips. Head coach Chuck Martin also recorded his 150th career victory.

The Rockets’ defense recorded six sacks and 16 quarterback hurries while limiting EMU to just 34 rushing yards. Andrew Zock led the charge with two sacks, nine quarterback hurries and a forced fumble as Toledo improved to 4-1 in its last five MAC road games dating back to last season.

• Ohio rolled to a 48-7 road victory over Sacramento State, improving to 3-0 in MAC play and extending its winning streak to four games. The Bobcats built a 27-0 halftime lead and outgained the Hornets 468-267.
