The Bowling Green State University women's soccer team downed Western Michigan, 2-0, on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 30) in the quarterfinal round of the Mid-American Conference Tournament.

Freshman Alaina Uncapher's goal late in the first half proved to be the game winner, and junior Maya Dean doubled the Falcons' lead midway through the second half.

BGSU, the tournament's third seed, advances to Thursday's (Nov. 3) semifinal round, which will take place in Buffalo, N.Y. The Falcons will face second-seeded Ball State in a 7:30 p.m. start.
