Junior outside hitter Audrey Geer was named the MVP of the Tru by Hilton Beavercreek Invitational after recording double-doubles in all three matches, helping the Cardinals take down the preseason favorites in Conference USA (Western Kentucky) the Atlantic 10 (Dayton) and Horizon League (Wright State) ... She averaged 4.10 kills per set, which ranked second among all MAC players last week, while boasting a .330 (41-10-94) attack percentage ... She also ranked second on the squad with a 3.70 digs-per-set average, while leading the team’s primary passers with a .966 (64-for-67) reception percentage ... Geer started the week with season-highs of 15 kills and 15 digs in the four-set win over Western Kentucky which received six votes in last week’s AVCA Top 25 Coaches Poll ... She followed with 12 kills and 10 digs in the sweep of Dayton which received 25 votes in last week’s AVCA Top 25 Coaches Poll ... Geer closed the week with 14 kills, 12 digs and a season-best .400 (14-2-30) attack percentage in the sweep

Sophie Ledbetter, Libero, Ball State
Junior libero Sophie Ledbetter continued her strong play in the backcourt, leading the Ball State defense and ranking third among MAC defenders with a 4.40 digs-per-set average, helping the Cardinals take down the preseason favorites in Conference USA (Western Kentucky) the Atlantic 10 (Dayton) and Horizon League (Wright State) ... She collected double-digit digs in all three matches, starting with 18 in the four-set win over Western Kentucky which received six votes in last week’s AVCA Top 25 Coaches Poll ... She followed with 13 digs in the sweep of Dayton, which received 25 votes in last week’s AVCA Top 25 Coaches Poll, and the sweep over Wright State ... She also served up a pair of aces on the week, while dishing out 14 total assists, including a season-high eight vs. WKU.
Setter Pair of the Week
Lindsey Green/ Reese Axness, Ball State
Senior setter Lindsey Green and sophomore setter Reese Axness combined to lead the Ball State women’s volleyball team to a MAC-best .322 (155-39-360) attack percentage last week, helping the Cardinals take down the preseason favorites in Conference USA (Western Kentucky), the Atlantic 10 (Dayton), and Horizon League (Wright State) ... The duo averaged 13.30 assists-per-set, with a 6.90 mark from Green and a 6.40 average from Axness ... The pair would also combine for a 4.30 digs-per-set average, 2.70 for Green and 1.60 for Axness, including a double-double by Green in Thursday’s four-set win over Western Kentucky ... Overall, the duo helped Ball State hit above .300 in all three matches last week, led by a .366 effort in Saturday’s sweep of Wright State.
