COLORADO SPRINGS, CO  — Miami's Malena Sabez was named NFHCA Division I Offensive Player of the Week, the Association announced Wednesday morning.

The announcement comes after a four-goal week for Sabez that included a hat trick against a ranked Liberty team. Her three goals against the Flames powered a RedHawks comeback in the fourth quarter, and she scored the game-winning goal in overtime to render Miami victorious. Across the two games, she took two 19 shots, earned eight points, and played 117 minutes.

Sabez also received the Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week honor for her efforts.
