Meaghan Cochrane started in her first collegiate game as a freshman, scoring both of Ohio’s goals, including the game-winner in the 80th minute to secure the Bobcats’ first victory of the season.

Senior Eva Blatz was a major factor on both ends of the field as she scored a goal and added an assist while helping the Bulls earn two straight shutout victories to open the season. On Thursday, she scored the game-winning goal off a corner kick to lead UB to a 2-0 win over Niagara and she followed that up with an assist in a 2-0 road win at Mercyhurst on Sunday. The Bulls allowed eight total shots, and just three shots on goal, across the two contests.
Goalkeeper of the Week
Lexie Thompson, Buffalo, Goalkeeper

Senior Lexie Thompson is picking up right where she left off as she recorded back-to-back shutouts to lead Buffalo to a pair of victories to open the season. On Thursday against Niagara, Thompson made a highlight-reel leaping save to preserve the shutout in a 2-0 win over Niagara and she followed that up with a pair of saves in a 2-0 road win at Mercyhurst.
The Levittown, NY native now ranks third in program history in career shutouts (23) and fourth in wins (29).
